a couple clues...the thickness/pressure of the strokes generally don't change at all since the level of pressure doesn't change. Sometimes you will see, particularly with sharpies, at the beginning and ends of the signature a round spot from where the pen was placed straight down on the paper and removed straight up at the end of the sig. If you have a scan, please post.

new players use autopen if they are used,on the old guys, you dont have to worry about it so much on stuff were doing, just the ones that get swamped with mail, and their autos look exactly the same on everything you see, no difference or variance at all

I dont have any I think are autopenned. In doing the TTM autos I hear of some people saying they believe they may have received some back that were.

    Thanks for your help. image

The way that I you can tell for sure is to compare it to something similar. For example, on sportscollectors.net, I saw where someone got lucky and got Michael Jordan to sign his card. So, I tried it. I thought, it's worth a stamp to try it. He didn't sign my item (that is another key). I got an 8 x 10 photo. It looked like real ink. I got a little exited, but suspected an autopen. I compared it to other photos exactly like it (on startiger.com), and the signature was exactly the same.

Another key (like I mentioned above) is if your item gets signed or not. If your item gets signed, chances are, it is real.

I also had a similar experience with President George and Barbara Buch. Signature were exactly like others that I compared to on startiger.com.

I would have my doubts about this.
