What a BUMMER that he missed out on 100 runs by 1 lousy run.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Does anybody think that will keep him outta the HOF?

no, he set the record for most years to start a career with 30 HR and 100 RBI....the 100 run was secondary in my book...

blame his BRUTAL supporting cast, not him!

the OPS of the rest of the team was downright embarassing, they look like a minor league squad.....

Cardinals should change their name to Pujols and the Bad news bears ....

When Pujols starts hitting .400 and winning triple crowns, then we can start comparing him to Teddy Ballgame.

    Kevin
  • i think in todays day and age it may be impossible to win another triple crown....although Pujols had a decent run last year if he didnt get hurt...

PS SOrry about your Caddillac, tough injury....

some players are justmore fragile then others....

Not all ligaments are created equal....

best ligaments in the world : Favre, Emmitt, Cal ripken.... edited to add N Ryan (not clemens because he is a moonface cheater)

Gotta put Nolan Ryan and Clemens (minus this year) in there too. Especially Nolan. The guy was a flat out freak of nature who by all accounts did it with nothing more than and unparalleled work ethic and God-given ability (i.e. no chemical enhancement).
