Bizarre population report for 1984 Donruss Action All-Stars

image

I came across this in one of my boxes o' crap tonight while looking for some cards for my daughter to play with. I don't even remember where it came from. I decided to check the PSA pop report on these things... and something's gotta be wrong in the data or else somebody submitting these has a really bad eye.

According to the pop report, of the 154 cards from this set that have been graded, 71 have been graded 1 or 2.

1-2 6 7 8 9 10 TOTAL

Total: 71 2 7 42 22 10 154

Weird.

They could have been used for autographs.

These come up with one of my '84 Donruss searches and Alfonz is absolutely correct. Lots of autographed ones appear.

I ripped a box of these a couple weeks back and pulled a nice Rickey Henderson - 8 (maybe 9?). I pulled a decent Nolan Ryan, but there was extra white paper on the bottom left corner. Oh well...cheap rip!
