Oh man, I can't wait, luckily we will have Heritage to tide us over until next summer. Im thinking about comprising a list of guys we would love to see in both heritage AND A&G and then emailing topps. Earlier the better!
i read on net they were going to some more old negro leagers in em next years set too, thats cool, all those guys signed everything i ever sent em, even got signed packs lol i still need minis of em to send if anybodys got em, i posted on a & g thread sevral times but nobody ever responded,so said hell with it ,ill buy em off ebay if i have to lol
I think that's a very good idea that should have some thought behind it. If I were Topps, I would read something like this board versus some of the other ones that are full of knee jerk reactions or trust my own creativity or market instincts. The possibilities for an A&G set/relics/autos are really fascinating and only bound by somebody's imagination. Whether the fanciful can be turned into reality is another matter, but I've already seen some interesting choices in the main A&G thread. The baseball side would be easy. The others could be extremely fun to contribute on (including the design).
I think the insert cards (the thick ones) were pretty weak with the player selection as well as the rip cards/rip card inserts. One of the reason last year's was such a hit was all the big names on the rip cards and the players contained within. How cool would it be to have a Jeter or Howard or Bonds Dick Perez original sketch cards vs a Swisher/Tulowitzki/Matthews. Not to mention Mantle/Williams/Bonds/Gibson on the rip cards themselves. This appeals to player collectors as well as set collectors. You can't tell me a Scott Kazmir rip card will be held intact as much as a Teddy Ballgame. And getting a Justin Morneau extended card within a rip card makes it kind of pointless and disappointing to rip versus getting a Josh Gibson or Cal Ripken.
As cool as that would be, I need at least 9 months to finish this set and recoup. >>
I hear ya, Ross! My wife is still glaring at me because of all the money that I've spent on this set so far. I would have to find a new place to sleep if there were a second series. But then again, it might be worth it...

Chris My small collection Want List: '61 Topps Roy Campanella in PSA 5-7 Cardinal T206 cards Adam Wainwright GU Jersey
I'm not done cracking the stuff that has already been released (no more than 2 months ago mind you) and still have a ways to go on the sets so let's hope Topps holds off on that idea
FYI - you guys over here are sooooo much easier and efficient to work with than the over on the Beckett Boards! Amazing.
kshorton says: i gots an Empire State Building card... seeking advice.. is this better and worth more than my psa 3 franco harris 1973 topps card which i defouled by trying to make a baby with ? Please advise. the franco card is graded.. the ESB card is not yet, and I do not want to have a baby with the ESB card.
