If Philly makes the playoffs, I say J Roll. He's a great player. Lots of fun to watch. If not, my vote goes to Wright or Fielder. Tough choice between the 2.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
Prince Fielder, single handedly kept the brewers in the playoff hunt, over 1.000 OPS in august and september, OBP over .400, and best power numbers in the NL.
fielder for me too, for a rookie hes had a great year smacking em out, hope he keeps doing it,dont know what he has now but hes right behind arod witha few games left to samck some more maybe
i think the voters will go with holliday if the rockies get into the playoffs. otherwise, the award will go to wright.
I would go with wright with fielder 2nd and holliday 3rd. Wright has played very well down the stretch, which is doubly important since jose reyes has been struggling and delgado was injured for awhile. i like fielder and he may get the award like howard did last year, but he doesnt have the all around game that wright brings to the table.
This sure is a tough year to pick a NL MVP. No one or two or even three players stand out. In addition it is a field made up of guys that are not quite superstars. Most of these guys may never make it out of the semi star pile. Nevertheless it will be nice to have some suspense associated with the vote. I'll go with Fielder. The Brewers would be a fifth or sixth place team without him.
Prince had an amazing year, for sure, but I'd hate to see an MVP with a batting average below .300. It just looks bad, somehow. Can't rightly justify it to anyone else, though. But since the team's place finish seems so important now, I guess the wind would blow towards whoever gets in the playoffs. I like Ryan Howards resurgent numbers as well as J Roll's. David Wright looks to me to need more rbi. That damn Coors Field seems to be a curse for the heavy hitters who play there. I like Holliday.

why not reward the MOST Valuable player, not the one with the best stats? You take Holliday off the Rockies, they are far out of contention, same with Fielder.
For me, a team must be in contention (2nd place is FINE) just no MVP's on last place teams, thats just silly.

Rollins if the Phils go to the playoffs.
Prince if the Brewers get there.
Obviously he wont win but i had to put his name out because he has had a great season even with injuries.

Uh, the award is the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER award, not the best player award...he has to be valuable to his team.
