Too much corner wear for an 8. I would say 7 but would not be surprised if a 6 with 3 of the 4 corners showing some wear. A lot of my 1957s that look like that come back a 7.
Goose has unleashed a mystery on us, I think. But I am logging off soon so I may have to wait until tomorrow for the answer!
Edit to say: OK, I AM surprised. But barring the hidden wrinkle factor somewhere, I'd love to own a set of "5" quality cards that looked like THAT. I'd crack 'em all and place in an album.
I know, I'm posting faster than my brain (which is not that difficult.) So why the 5? Something on the back, an indentation somewhere? I have a real nice '66 Mantle that has psa 8 corners but is a 7 due to a tiny impression on one edge.
Still a great looking card, very nice! If it were up to me I would say a Mint 9 LOL but thats why i'm not a grader. No clue why a 5 but its a great looking card anyway
Well yep, REALLY nice. I would love to have a card at that price that looked like that too.
If anything, it demonstrates the frustration that is bound to happen eventually, if you're a raw card buyer buying based on even a fairly large scan!
Really appealing card, for sure. Unfortunately I have a PSA 6 '62 Clemente that is really a dog of a 6, compared to this one. Frankly, I feel mine should be in a 5 holder at best, even allowing for the always-visible wear on the corners of '62s.
Wow. I actually got this one right. (Hopefully PSA did as well.) I was going to say a strong 6 until I noticed what looked like a tiny wrinkle to the left of the Pirate logo. Anyway, grades ain't nuttin' but a number - nice card!

<< <i>Well, it ain't no 6. I would say 8 goose? Nicely centered too!
Sorry LOL, no harm intended. What is the actual grade? I hope you got an 8 as well but I was just saying from what I have seen in the past, thats all.

Centering is good enough.
But, the upper right corner looks to have some fraying or a slight bend for a 6. In person the upper right could look worse than the scan.
Also, is that a dent or wrinkle on the left border near the bottom of the blue?
I'll say 6.

Look up Jon!
couldn't pass it up for 50.00
