Just ripped an '83 Fleer Rack...

...pulled a really nice looking Boggs RC. Centered nicely, good corners, etc.

The line by his mouth is on the card saver holder.

    Very nice card!

I am waiting for my order from bbxchange. That wait is killing me. i want to rip something. I bought an 1985 Football wax box, a 1979 and a 1980 baseball wax trays. Maybe one more trip to the Post Office before they close.............

    Superb card James!

I'm partial to the simple design of the 83Fs.

If ya submit it - good luck

In one of the legit rips that we had on the boards, I pulled a Boggs rookie that looks like a 10. The centering on mine is just a little better top to bottom. But, overall your card is a very nice one! Love that card!

You're absoultely right in that regard. 1984 is clearly the most "80s" of all the 1980 card designs but the 1983 (especially the brown back) has its charm.

Thanks! It looks much better than the Gwynn I pulled out the last rack. The Gwynn was off-centered pretty badly. It's a shame because the corners and surface are perfect. Oh well.

Other than minor top/bottom centering issues, this boggs is pretty awesome looking. image I don't know why it wouldn't get at least a PSA 9 rating.

I've got three more '83 Fleer racks staring me in the face, along with an A&G Hobby box....

  • Love the 1983 Fleer. When I started in 1986 my uncle had a box when he was a Park Ranger in Sequoia that someone opened in the store and they gave the box to him. He gave it to me for my Birthday and I thought they would of been picked thru but all the cards were there. I counted. They are "lost" at my parents house. My Dad jokes I can find em when he dies. lol

    LOL!

  • Great looking card! Are you gona grade it? It should come back a 10, Niceimage
  • Sharp card. The T-B centering may keep it out of a 10 holder, but it is a guaranteed 9 (or 5 -- see other threads!!!)
