  • If you pay with paypal for an item, and seller has less than 50 feedback, per paypal user agreement 13.9, you are only covered up to $200.00. At least that is the way I read it. If I were paying with paypal to this seller would pay with a credit card thru paypal, which allows you to get your money back from the credit card company.

What Bullrat said. I have a PayPal Buyer Credit account. I pay for everything with it, then shoot the money over from my checking account to cover the bill. Gives me the added protection of claiming again my credit account. It's handy.

  • the ebay listing page for that item should say how much 'buyer protection' you have. but then again if the person has a zero paypal account balance you could end up with an IOU from paypal. I always use my credit card.
  • How do I go about setting up a credit card to pay with using paypal?
  • First, do you have a paypal account? If not just go to paypal.com and sign up - fairly easy. If you already have a paypal account, go into paypal and add credit card. As well as I can remember, you choose your default payment method.
