Hey guys, does anybody know anything about a George Mikan MENKO?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody had any kind of information at all about this card which is believed to be a 1950 George Mikan Menko. In the past two people sold it on ebay they have stated 1950 George Mikan Menko and those two guys were sellers from Japan so I guess they know. Does anybody know excatly how rare or valueble this is? Anybody else have one or do you know somebody that has one? Any information at all about this one is greatly appreciated. Thank you for your timeimage

Sincerely,

Giovanni Azzarelli

  • Hi, does anybpdy know anything about Menko's in general? I did a search on every signle board on PSA boards and didn't even see one thing about any kind of Menko card let alone a Mikan Menko. Does anybody know anything at all about Menko's or my George Mikan Menko? Aren't there any Menko experts on PSA? I noticed that there is a few experts for each set almost but nothing at all for Menko??? Thank you for your timeimage

I've seen a Babe Ruth Menko that looks like it came from the same sheet.
Here's a site that offers help for Japanese card questions, baseball or not
    Rob's Japanese Baseball cards

Gary Engel is the expert on these, this is his site.

I know "menko" means round, but that is about all the help I can offer other than the links above. Best of luck.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

Thanks for the help manimage I know I went to one of those guys and he was able to tell me it was George Mikan but he wasen't sure I guess with the year. The one I purchased on ebay said 1950 George Mikan Menko and the other one on ebay also stated the same thing. Both sellers were from Japan so I guess they know excatly what it is but I since lost track of who the seller was for both my purchase and the other so can't contact them againimage opefuly somebody would be able to help with out with this one. I did try to contact Jeff Mullen I belive his name is a couple of times but I never heard back from him. Maybe my mail is not getting to him for some reason. Can somebody ask him for me? Maybe he knows something because I know he deals with some rare Mikan's and he might be able to tell me something about this one. I read his article about the George Mikan Keds card or something so hes always finding new stuff so hopefuly he could help me out with this oneimage Thanks again for the help!

The 2 websites listed below may help you a little. The last link is for an uncut sheet with the Babe Ruth card that sold at a Memory Lane auction.

  • Hi, does anybody know were I can sell this card? I know theres Mastronet.com but who else is there? How does these auction houses work? I never sold anything thru any of those places so I have no clue. Do you know which auction house would be best to sell this card? Which do you think I would get the most for? Can anybody think of an estimate in which you think this would sell for? I really don't want to sell this but I must sell it. Any help is appreciated.
