What is the best storage method for PSA cards

I don't have very many of graded cards, but I've got a nice little stack going on my desk. I was searching ebay and came across some of the MJ Rooper boxes, which look very nice, but the seller was Stephanie's Collectibles Closet and there is no way in hell he is getting any of my money after what I've read here. What's the best way to store these? Any recommendations would be appreciated!

They are Sterilite 6 qt shoe boxes. The ones I have come with a blue lid. They are normally around $2.00 to $2.50 each, but can be had for under a $1.00 when on sale.

Now that is funny as hell , but don't you think that if they could possibly get them out sooner they would , you see them all the time asking for more help for graders which means that everyone and their twin sister wants to use PSA to grade their cards , I'm sure they are completely over loaded with work and I know that they are not just sitting around looking at the cards saying . . Hmmmmm, yea, I'll get to that pile later , I'm having coffee right now .
I suppose if all you want are your cards back right away , you could use one on the names from that list that was posted in the other thread : How many grading companies :
They probably grade 100 cards a week , where at PSA, God only knows the staggering amount that need to be graded because almost everyone wants to have that PSA grade .

I don’t think that is the issue that most of us have with PSA - at least not for me. My problem with PSA is that they won’t keep us updated on the status of our submission. What is the point of having the submission status link on their website if it does not work? They have two statuses - date received and date grades posted. If you try to call customer service to check on the status, it is a joke! Good luck getting any useful information. Don’t you think they could be a little more helpful than that? If it is going to be 90 days, fine, tell me so. I can deal with that if I know about it. It’s the not knowing and being left in the dark that really bothers me.

Yes, they do that. Read some of the threads where other June specials have popped. They have no logical order for how they get submissions out. Other people’s subs who were logged after mine have already popped (I’m talking only June Specials). So yes, they do just pull them at random from the pile. Shouldn’t it be first in / first out as far as the specials go?

This is the part that I find most alarming. PSA is hiring graders for one of two reasons - either they have a hard time keeping employees or they are so busy that they can’t keep up with the work. Let’s just say the latter is true. Do you really want the employee who was just hired last week working on your sub? After all, they are PROFESSIONAL Sports Authenticators. I’ve been collecting for 21 years and some new guy who was probably only 3 or 4 years old when I started collecting is going to tell me the grades of my cards. You don’t see anything wrong with that? That is like some E1 telling Rube about war.

No! They have no obligation to get them out in a certain time. If this were any other type of service, we would not stand for this. We get mad when we drop off our clothes at the cleaners and they are not ready when promised, having to wait 45 minutes on the plumber who is late, when the auto shop calls us and says that the car won’t be ready until tomorrow because the part didn’t come in, having to sit in the waiting room at the doctors office too long when we feel like crap, because the pizza that we ordered was 20 minutes late, etc. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. The fact is that we are paying for the service up front and they don’t care after that. Do you pay for your dry cleaning when you drop it off or pick it up? Pay the plumber before he finishes? Pay for your car when you pick it up? Pay the receptionist after the doctor’s visit? Pay for the pizza once it’s delivered. If we didn’t pay for PSA’s service until after it was complete, I honestly believe that their service times would increase by 100% or more. Just imagine the following conversation:
PSA: “Hello, Mr Smith, this is Jane with PSA’s customer service department and I just wanted to inform you that your submission is ready. Would you be paying by credit card or check?”
Mr Smith: “Wow, you guys are fast. It has only been a little over a week.”
PSA: “Well at PSA we pride ourselves on customer service and quick turnaround times.”
And then once you have paid, they could post your grades online. This would keep anybody from not paying if their grades were crappy!
I believe that PSA is the best in the business at what they do. However, their customer service is the worst I’ve ever experienced of any service related company. It’s pretty sad when you call and can’t get ANY answers. The only thing that could make it worse is if I had to first dial 1 to speak English. I am done with them until they start focusing their attention back on the customer. I used the example the other day in another thread about the autobody repair shop, but the fact of the matter is, nobody would really drop their car off with a mechanic who couldn’t give them some indication of when their car would be ready - no matter how good or cheap they were. So why are we doing it with PSA?
