Manny Being Manny

This just cracked me up...

Manny Ramirez, OF, Boston Red Sox Monday 9/17, 10:43 AM CT

Manny Ramirez, out with an oblique strain, is still several days away from returning to action, according to Newsday. Manny wanted to go out on a minor-league rehab stint, but manager Terry Francona had to inform Ramirez that the minor league season was over.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Even though I'm a Sox fan, that one is fantastic!

Hopefully he can get over his minor strain and get back in the lineup soon. And even moreso, have Ellsbury in right and Drew on the bench!

Maybe if they gave him a cork-core bat, it wouldn't strain his abdomen and he could come back sooner.
