Question: Can A Card Have Multiple Qualifiers?

I don't think I've ever seen it, but can a card have multiple qualifiers? Have you ever seen a card with multiple qualifiers? I suppose the easiest would the MK for mark qualifier. Take any card already with a qualifier, take a pen to it and now, in theory, you can have a PSA 9 (OC) (MK) or a PSA 9 (PD) (MK) or a PSA 9 (OF) (MK). Can you imagine how funny it would be if there were such a card as a PSA 9 (OC) (MK) (PD) (OF)?

    Good question, ive never seen one but would that not put the card as just coming back as "authentic" if it contains that many faults? Im curious...............

    Are you kidding me, does a PSA-1 really need a qualifier? Afterall, a PSA-1 is a PSA-1.

    PSA -1 Definition: The card is in such bad shape that it would be better off to not exist.

  • Here are the deductions in weights for qualifiers, from the PSA registry rules page:

    Additionally, the following point deductions are taken for Qualifiers. For example, if your card or ticket is graded PSA 9Q, the grade calculation in the Registry will be 7.

    9Q = -2
    8Q = -2
    7Q = -2
    6Q = -2
    5Q = -2
    4Q = -2
    3Q = -1
    2Q = -1
    1Q = no deduction

    So, a 3Q = 2, 2Q=1, 1Q=1.

    I think that (MK) is the most common qualifier on a PSA 1. I also think the qualifier is appropriate. I'd rather have a PSA 1 with reasonable eye appeal than a PSA 1 (MK) that is the same but has a mark on it.

    I have a card graded PSA 1(MK), and the guy has a pair of glasses drawn on his face. It really is much worse than just a PSA 1...

    A card cannot have multiple qualifiers.
    I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
