How to validate baseball

Hi all,
Just a quick question while trying to kill the last two hours of work for the week. I have a baseball that was given to me almost 20 years ago that the owner claims was used in the 1960 world series. This is very possible because his brother in law was a member of the Pirates. He also had a ball autographed by many Pirates on that team and a couple of celebs (Bing Crosby was one if I remember correctly). There are no marking on the ball its a stained yellow which i guess was not unsual for back in the day. I will post a pic this weekend but has anyone had a simular experience trying to get a ball authenicated?

There are ways to date balls within a certain period of time, but back then they just used NL balls in the NL parks, and AL balls in the AL parks.

Could ya clarify what ya mean by no marking?
Do you mean the ball is blank except for the sigs?

The ball I have contains no signatures or markings of any type.
