1953 MANTLE

I have an old mantle card... I think it is legit.. but think it may have been restored or preserved... artificially...
if I send this to psa.. will they encapsulate it as authentic?? or is that a seperate service all together???

Depends on what you mean by restored, but I don't think any of the big 3 will holder a restored card. You can get a trimmed card holdered as authentic (if it is authentic) at SGC, I'm not too sure about if it is repaired.

    What was done to it?

TO ME IT LOOKS LIKE SOMEONE CLEAR COATED IT TO PROTECT IT.. BUT IT LOOKS VINTAGE.. NO BRUSH MARKS OR ANYTHING...
I have a 53 paige and compaired them and it is close.. the back coloring has a slight variance..

OAKESY25, Not a bad looking Mantle. Im pretty sure this is a Short Print from the 53 series as well as being Mantles Second Topps Card. I would try SGC like stated in prior post.

I think I will just sell it.. it looks like it was re glazed to me.. it is not shiny but too glossy
to be original... the card itself I believe is real.. but not worth the run around just to get someone
to authenticate it... and throw good money away if they dont
