Uh..................H$l* yeah! By the looks of it I most definently would. I tried to copy it so I could make it bigger and get a closer look but I would send it off to preserve the beauty of this card. I absolutely love the 68 Ryan. Where did you get this one at?
If it isn't trimmed, I'd say yes, definitely send it in. That's one card where getting top dollar requires grading, and slabbing just for preservation reasons isn't bad either.
I'm no expert on trimming, but the area between the black picture border and outer edge seems to be the right prortion. And, while your card does look slightly miscut (image seems tilted a couple degrees), the corners look crazy sharp. Doubt they'd bother with an OC designation.
I wish the picture was bigger and clearer, but I'll go out on a limb here and say that's a 7 if there aren't any wrinkles or defects not shown in the scan. Heck, maybe an 8. So, yes, send it in and get it graded.
I have both a 7 and an 8 1968 ryan. That one is worth sending in for sure. btw....I am a big edgar martinez fan....I hope maybe just maybe he has a shot at the hall of fame. The game has changed and the designated hitter is a big part of it....and he did play the field for half his career. I do not get cards graded anymore but have sent in quite a few in my time. I have several topps chrome cards with different color backgrounds. Place the questioned card next to the sturdy chrome card each direction and see if there is any overhang.....ie not the same size. Can even do it in a holder for crossovers like pro cards that are trimmed with a ginsu knife to get the 9. Works every time. Also, look with a 10x power magnifier at the corners and edges. Keep a strong eye on the top left corner as most people trimming cards will have the face of the card toward them and the cut will leave a slightly upturned corner. Works for me every time. Some people even use vernier calipers/micrometers to measure the borders. Hope your card grades high. Jay

All, Thank you for all your input. I have attached a few more pic's with the corners. Still trying to figure out the picture limits. The card was pulled from a pack in 68 when I was a little kid, thus my own Topps card. I have sent in 2 Mantle's one was a 8 and the other a 9. Thanks, Michael
