Putting a value on Jerry Rice rookie for submission

Im looking at the 5.00 special and no cards valued at 75 or more. PSA 8 books 50 bucks and PSA 9 books 200. Actual sales according to VCP are slightly lower than the two. I have no idea what Beckett gives for a value on a raw Rice Rookie.

So my question is...does the Rice qualify as a card I can submit under this month's special?

Thanks
Barry

  • I list everything as a nickel. I'm not too terribly bright, though.

I would say yes. Beckett has it listed at 40.00 and 80.00 for mint.

I'd send it if SMR for an 8 is $50.

would you be willing to only take $75 for it for some reason the package gets lost going from PSA to you?? That is the question that you have to ask yourself.

I dont think that is so much the question. If that happens then so be it because they would be lost if they were 3s or 10s. I just need to know if they would be rejected for grading.
  • I've never heard of PSA rejecting cards because of too low a declared value. The declared value is whatever you want it to be, and is only used for insurance purposes if your package gets lost or damaged (Which is why shipping costs are effected by your declared value). PSA doesn't really care what you declare.

I think they are pretty lenient on that issue unless someone is obviously taking advantage of them. I would send them in and value it at $75, just in case it gets lost in the mail. I have learned the hard way(losing two packages only, but it still sucks no matter what the value) it's better to be safe and overinsure a tad if anything, because after the process you will have to go through to get your insurance money back, trust me, you will feel like you got ripped off anyway and the card could very well be worth that in the time it will take.

Actually with a few of my submissions to PSA I would have been much better off $$$$$ wise if it did get lost in the mail!!!!!!!! image

Does not matter the USPS is only going to want to pay what they can replace the item for. If it books for 75.00 that is all they will pay regardless of the grade..
