    He's actually selling three.
And if you look at items sold, he has recently sold a rack pack.

    link to wrappers!

I'm not "warn and fuzzy" about a seller that sells wax wrappers! Does anyone else think this is not so cool to sell wrappers on ebay? image

I actually collect wax wrappers. In fact, I'm trying to get a bunch of 1975 Topps mini wrappers so I can decorate my bar.

Oh wait...that was some other guy.

Those wrappers are from a totally different seller, though, rd!

In addition, though, many collectors collect vintage wrappers, too, and some are worth $$$ as well, so why shouldn't an honest seller sell them on ebay if they have them for sale? Unless the seller is also buying lots of NM-MT cards and wrappers and/or empty boxes from that same year, I don't see a problem with that.

yeah--what grote15 said. a dishonest seller should not be able to ruin it for an honest one thereby ruining it for a collector
  • i have sold many old wax wrappers, lots of folks collect them; one bad apple shouldnt sour the bunch.

It's not the honest sellers, or the honest buyers for that matter, its those pieces of cr@p that would buy wax wrappers and fill them with extra fine garbage, reseal them and prey on hobbyists, by selling resealed packs on ebay!

    That's the problem!

Yes, but what does that issue have anything to do with an honest seller selling vintage wrappers to those who collect them? You can't just make the insinuation that anyone who sells wrappers is also a resealer, that's untrue and unfair. Just read the posts prior to your last one for an example of such.

grote15, I said it is NOT the "honest seller" or it is NOT the "honest buyer", I NEVER said that a seller who sells wrappers is a resealer! Put your glasses on and read my post again!

The above statement is pretty self-explanatory, IMO. And the fact that it was made by you, by mistake, because you thought those auctions were from the same seller because those other auctions were the ones that popped up when you clicked on the link for the 1978 cello pack is pretty obvious, IMO.

Also, you need to "put on your glasses" and re-read my post, which was that it is not fair to imply that a seller is selling resealed packs just because he sells wrappers. As Bobbafett said, one bad apple should not spoil the bunch.

  • Personally, I think if a guy is selling wrappers and noting the variations on each wrapper, he's selling to wrapper collectors. I try to get every variation of a wrapper for each year for the stuff I collect.
