eBay user NDNS2000 - Anyone ever dealt with?

Thought it was odd to begin with when I sold a card via BIN to this guy and he immediately asked for tracking info. I'm still looking to see if I Put DC on it or not. I do have the receipt with the zip code on it somewhere, so I know the card was mailed to him. I get an email a day or two later again asking for tracking info. I started to get a feeling and replied to the guy letting him know it had been mailed. Now it's 13 days later and I get another email asking for tracking info. I was on vacation all week last week and haven't had a chance to look for my dc. (I don't think I put dc on it, but once I find the receipt, I'll know for sure.) So today I get an email saying "I had you drop ship it to my client. If you can provide tracking info I'll know they got it. If I get a complaint from my buyer I'll have to dispute payment". Well, well, well... I expected this, seems like a pretty quick snap to that solution so I think I'm getting jerked here. So I go and look at the paypal payment, which is where I would have mailed it, and it's an address in DE. I then look at the order details from ebay, huh...same address. So unless this guy changed his ebay address and his paypal address, he's lying about having it "drop shipped".

What do you guys think? Anyone dealt with him or had something like this happen to them? I've only ever had one other buyer yank me like this and it was some clown about 3 years ago. Why would someone bother to screw me for a $30 card? I know it was sent, I've never had a card lost that I sent and all the other cards I sent at the same time have been received, his should be no different.

UGH.

  • I assume he paid with Paypal, if so you might as well get ready to refund him without proof of DELIVERY you are going to lose. Some buyers simply prey on sellers who do not use DC.

I usually state in my auctions, that delivery confirmation is optional unless paying by Paypal, in which case it is mandatory and make them pay for it.
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

I don't mind paying for DC, in fact I buy it at my own expense for anything over $50. I've never had a problem but this guy just looks like he's been trying to weasel a freebie from me from the beginning. Hopefully he's on the up and up and will just admit to receiving the card, but based on his emails I'm assuming I didn't put DC on the card (though I remember thinking about it based on his first email) and now I'm going to get bit.
