Worth leaving negative feedback on a $1 card, $4 purchase

Some jerk has failed to pay for one of those .99 cents auction, that never did bid up.

So is it worth it to give the negative feedback over, and more important, is it worth me dropping from 100% feedback, in case he gives me a negative back???

I would neg him, you have to bust your feedback cherry sometimeimage
  • Better to just file the NPB. If he gets those from 3 sellers, they are supposedf to kick them off ebay.

If he negs you for that, appeal it to ebay and say that he never intended to pay for the item but bid for the sole purpose of leaving you negative feedback.

Neg him. If you sell a lot people wont care if you have 99.9% feedback or 100%. Look at the people we have discussed on this site that are knowledgable collectors and have bought from people who have 96-97% feedback.

I thought about buying something from myself before and negging me with an interesting notation as to why, just so idiots wont feel they have an upperhand by destroying my perfect feedback
IT IS ALWAYS CHEAPER TO NOT SELL ON EBAY

I thought that if you filed a NPB on a buyer and eBay found in your favor, that they would refund your final value fees and the buyer couldn't leave feedback - negative or positive. Is this correct or am I wrong?

i would just file a non paid item dispute. If the buyer does not respond you can leave a neg. And buyer will not be able to leave any fb as well as recieve a unpaid item strike. 3 of those and there suspended.

    Update:

Did the unpaid strike and still was left a negative. Oh well, popped my 100% feedback! Down to 99.9 % now. If the guy would have replied to any of my 5 emails, I might have let it go. But sometimes, I think people hold the 100% feedback people hostage. Might be better to be at 99.9%. The buyer dropped from 100% to 99.3%.

  • If you file the UPI and the buyer does not repsond to it he can still leave a neg, but it does not go against you. I rarely neg NPBs I just file and let Ebay deal with them.. FYIW the 3 strikes is not a guarantee. I know of a buyer that at least 5 different sellers filed on him before he was finally removed.
  • I would not leave a neg over this amount of money!

Yeah, probably not worth getting hit with the negative over less than $5, but I did it anyways. People should pay if they bid, Ebay charges me the fees to begin. Yes, Ebay may refund the fees, probably 30 days later.

This is what the feedback system was meant for, to provide others with the information on people. This guy didn't pay. Maybe next time, he will win a $1,000 item and not pay for it. At least he can't keep messing with all the sellers.

  • If you follow the steps you can get your Ebay fees retruned to you in 7 to 15 days then you can relist and if the item sells on the relist you get your listing fees refunded.

I am guessing you filed and at the same time negged him, that was a mistake if you are going to neg them wait until you close the UPI then neg them. You get the credit as soon as you close the dispute.
