By 3 people right now. I have a feeling there will be a few more that enter the fray.

  • Wow, that was a refreshingly honest description! How often do you see a seller essentially saying something is kind of low end for the grade? "Much respect," as Ali G would say.

    Booyah Kashaw!

I still remember Nick B from a cover of a football magazine I received as a Christmas gift in '72 or '73.

I do have to admit it is a pretty weak PSA 8. image

If you bought a centered PSA 7, popped the two out raw, which card would get purchased first at a show?

Rich Caan is the seller and is without a doubt one of the most honest people I've ever dealt with in this hobby (and a great guy to boot!). I have the utmost respect for him and am not surprised at all that he entered that honest description. I wish more sellers were like him. Rich also posts here occasionally.

    My first thoughts exactly.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

The funny thing is that SO many collectors are blinded by the numerical grade on the flip, or just don't care much about the actual card because it's being bought for the registry, that I bet this Nicky B. 8 goes for exactly what any other 8 would.
