That obnoxious fan at Tampa Bay games

He's there everytime the Red Sox play them yelling at the top of his lungs. Is he there for other games too? I guess only someone who lives down there would know the answer to that.
But I'm sure every Red Sox fan knows who i"m talking about. Can't they move the damn microphones that pick that annoying SOB up?

LOL! I was talking about that guy with a friend at work today. Even my wife noticed him at the game last night. Yes, he is there EVERY game. If I was anywhere near that annoying person, I would either complain to the Rays or kick his butt! I think he may be a season ticket holder, cause he was there last year too.

And I would like to know if he is there for other teams or does he just torture us Sox fans?

Personally, I'd like to see Rem Dawg plunk a baseball off the guys noggin. image

Reminds me of that annoying fan during the 1986 world series at Shea who kept spinning her hands (like an NBA traveling call) behind home plate for every game. Unwatchable once you are locked on to it.

    Wow, nice detective work! image

I respect the fact that he heckles with no swearing or attacking personally, but I wish he would SHUT UP!

I worked in St. Pete during the 2002 season and went to several games. He goes to every game and usually picks on one player from the opposing team. It's really nice since it's indoors and there are only 5000 people at the games (except when the Sox are in town). You can here him throughout the stadium. I think he's an attorney, there was an article in the paper about him. Which is worse sitting near him or the guy with the drum in Cleveland?

Yeah, I live down here. The guy is a annoying dumbass. I just want to go up to him and punch him in the face.

  • << <i>I think he's an attorney, there was an article in the paper about him. >>

He is not an attorney, or at least he is not a member of The Florida Bar. We lawyers get a bad enough rap without dragging this guy into it.

You sit that close?! Yeah the guy is pretty obnoxious but he isn't too loud from the outfield or Upper deck which is where I sit whenever I go. And yeah I understand that the Rays don't draw 25,000 a game but it sure as hell isn't 5,000 like the expos so check your facts a little bit. I think it's about 17,000. I'm not a "hardcore" rays fan just a huge Crawford, Kazmir, and Young fan. Braves all the way though! That's my "real" team.

FYI, a lot of Rays fans don't go to Red Sox games 1. higher ticket prices and 2. bandwagon hopping Red Sox fans.

Yeah, I used to cut the D-Rays equipment managers yard. He hooked me up whenever I wanted to go

Man that is a sweeet deal! Those Kane's club seats with the leather seats and buffet are nuts. Can't imagine shelling out $110 to see the Rays play though. I can see them at the same distance in March for $10.

No disrepect intended. I was referring to 2002 when i was there a lot closer to 5,000 than 17,000 back then. I'm from Atlanta and went to several games when the Braves were in town, the crowds were better for those games. It was a good place to watch a game though because they let you move to better seats without hassling you, unlike Atlanta. You use to be able to park in a gravel lot right across the street on the west side for $5. A 30 second walk to the gates.

Oh I understand. They actually just did a little bit of renovations to the dome and it's 20X better than before. And starting last year they made parking free no matter where you park in the main lot. Definitely not the old owners anymore. They just need to start to spend money on the actual team now. And as you and Lawnmowerman know, the dome is completely necessary in June-September.

On the NESN broadcasts of Sox games in Tampa, they always show some wanna-be tough-guy wrestler - Nasty Boy or something like that - who has a blond mohawk and is wearing a D-Rays jersey with his own name on the back, stomping around for some attention. WTF is his deal??!?!

I use to live in Tampa, and went to many Magic games when they were good. I think this guy use to do his heckling there. Wiki does not mention him as having season tickets in Orlando, so maybe he is banned from Magic games...

without actually soliciting physical violence on another, let me say that $50 may find it's way to someone who by chance happens to deck this guy and gets footage to prove it. Once again, not a solicitation, just indicating that there may be future reparations if this were to occur. (hint hint)

That would be just too damn funny if he was hit with a pitch .
There is a guy in Yankee stadium that brings a damn cow bell .

Last game I was close to him with my friend Curtis <Almost 7 foot>
Curtis says to him " Ring that Effin bell one more time and you're gonna be swallowing it "

Man, I almost fell over laughing .

We didn't hear that bell the whole rest of the game image

A lot of pro wrestlers live in this area, can't be sure who you're talking about though, maybe Brian Knobs? Last time I was there (about a month ago) John Cena was there & they put him on the big screen, they also showed Jim "The Anivil" Neidhart there as well. Maybe one of these guys could take out the annoying fan?

Brian Knobs is the one I'm thinking of who's always there - they show him with some personalized D-Rays shirt with "Nasty Knobs" across the back. He looks like a real prize!!

I went down to Tampa for the last series in July and sat in those seats behind home plate . He was about 5 seats away . He is actually a pretty nice guy, he picks on 1 player and he hangs out and enjoys the game and talks to the people around him. He is there every game and even sometimes brings his son with him. He was picking on JD Drew when I was there which was well deserved so I didn't mind him at all!

1 other note , he was all over drew but drew got a chean hit in 1 at bat and the heckler promptly gave him a nice round of applause
  • How does an organization allow a fan to bang drums like the guy in Cleveland does? That makes no sense to me. Can I take a tuba to a game?image

You would think that it would annoy the people around him. I know it would wear on me really fast, even if he was trying to help my team.

I don't hear the guy tonight. Did someone go down there and ring his bell?

He doesn't go to every game so don't get your hopes up.
