Frankly, I can't understand how cards even from the 1960s (never mind the 1930s) could make it through all those years back when people had no sheets or holders or what not to protect the cards and SOMEHOW still survive in high grades like this one. Can anyone here enlighten me?
That one older guy that had that huge collection but sold it off due to being scared of robbery had his cards in a photo album sort of thing with the 4 white triangles for corners. That's my guess anyway. Anyone remember the name of the guy so we can dig that thread up to see the video? I think it was Lionel???
All it takes is one "unusual" type to treat it with kid gloves at the start - tuck it away in an envelope and then in a box - up on a shelf - and then don't discard for decades. Simple!
