    ha- bccg is a joke- i got 200+ cards on there of theirs from the stupid tristar packs for 4.00 each and cant get rid of em!look at the corners of the 72 arron 9 lol,and the 71 arron and clemente on black borders 8 and 9-not!!

    Yes, it's very annoying. Kinda sucks when you're looking for BGS cards only and then your search is contaminated with these glorified "Gems".

    Actually yes, that is better.

    There is no difference between BVG and BGS other than the years of cards they grade. And BVG wasn't introduced until later than BGS.

    Yes, it's very annoying. Kinda sucks when you're looking for BGS cards only and then your search is contaminated with these glorified "Gems".

    Just put -bccg in your search. Problem solved.

    What's the deal w/ those BCCG graded cards......those '71 &'72 bb would prob. get about a"6" w/ pga or another service?I'm relatively new here,but that is a wide discrepancy in grading standards?...THX...

    You can have the eBay search feature filter out the BCCG cards. For example, if you want "Bonds BGS" without BCCG you would enter....

    Bond BGS -BCCG

    You can also search for Bonds cards graded by BGS or PSA and exclude BCCG.....

    Bonds (PSA, BGS) -BCCG

    that they will come across your auction. But, yeah, if your serious about collecting, and
    having cards with long term value, stick to PSA, GAI, SGC and the occasional SCD(Sports
    Collector's Digest -- Red label).

    That's great. Thanks SD. You do learn something everyday. Hey, the seller may be using BCCG but he has some damn nice cards though.

    usually you see SGC and PSA combined. "SGC 84 PSA 7" is a typical description. It is annoying and it bothers me. And, thanks to the post by muchchuckwagon, I can avoid this crap.

    I use -bccg, but many sellers never state that their card is bccg even in the description. It's only in the picture. I blame Beckett though.
