In your expert opinion, what value of a card should be graded?

a $50 card? a $75 card?
any why do people grade cards that are worth very little money?

I'm no expert, but I can say that I sometimes send in cards with low values but they mean a lot to me, and sometimes I send in a card knowing it will get a 3 or 4 grade but knowing that I paid $5 to get it protected from me and any damage I might do looking at it, showing it to a friend, etc. I have some cards that I literally paid more to get them graded than I paid for them, and I'm ok with that.

  • Well when you consider a 1990 Fleer George Brett sold for 40.00 any card that is popular on the registry should be submitted.

Look at the 1986 Topps Nolan Ryan it is a 2.00 dollar card ungraded, but due to the registry when a 10 finally shows it will probaly bring 3 or 4 thousand or more.
