This guy is ripping people off on EBAY

I was almost one of the victims...

SCAMMERS

When the auction ends, they ask you to send payment to alternate email address. Anyone know of a link to ebay where they can be reported?

I emailed the highest bidder, but sometimes they think you're trying to talk him out of bidding. I've had 3 other ebayers email and ask me about the feedback I left about the same 1959 Mantle he keeps selling over and over...they got ripped off.

  • Good day,
If this is as you state, then can somebody explain to me why Feebay (E-Bay) doesn't have this gone already ??????

Actually Collect Non Sport, but am just so full of myself I post all over the place !!!!!!!
  • Just keep reporting it to Ebay directly Emailing the high bidder is a bad idea, the bidder or seller could report you for auction interference and get you suspended from Ebay.

Hopefully the high bidder knows what is going on and has no intention of paying or Ebay will catch up to him before they pay.

The report link is right there on the active listing. It is still active because it has not been reported, with just a few hours left it is doubtful Ebay will pull it before it ends.

  • I tried emailing ebay, but they have not replied nor do I expect them too!

I though about bidding on the item again just so I could leave NEGATIVE again, but that could back fire...
  • By bidding on it and driving the price up you set him up to offer it as a second chance and might get more victims involved. We saw this happen on a listing before where an actual bidder and a vigilante both got into a bidding war the vigilante won, but the bidder took a second chance offering and got scammed. It can also bite you if he reports it for auction interference, bidding with no intention of paying if you win is no better.

What I dont understand is how Ebay can let people like this stay in business. Two auctions and two negatives where people get riped off? Thats when you shut down their account. Should be interesting to see how this transaction turns out. I bet they are batting 1000 after this 3 for 3.

    Should say

PLEASE ALLOW 7-10 business days for shipping. AND PLEASE CONTACT BEFORE SENDING PAYMENT SO I CAN SCAM YOU AND GIVE YOU THE SHAFT!
  • It really is amazing how ebay lets people get away with this. Why , oh why would anyone do a $100 + deal with someone that has 0 feedback. I personally would not spend a $1 with someone that has no feedback. Seeing that this guy has 0 due to two scammer negs negating two positives just makes it even more preposterous that anyone would bid on this guys stuff. I guess $100 isn't a big deal to some people. To me that's a lot of cash.
  • Ebay needs competiton... this is getting stupid!

  • I think that they really need to require more ID especially of the sellers but the buyers as well. I am thinking of a copy of ones drivers license for example. I was just talking about this very topic earlier today.

seems as long as ebay gets paid, they dont really care a whole lot, i ve had fights with more than one of em on the phone since 1999, just keep asking for their boss till you talk to somebody with some brains there,(sometimes its hard to do)image
  • WELL, now he's -1 in his feedback rating.

I got another email from a buyer explaining how he also got ripped off on the same 1959 Mantle...

I can't believe with all the competiton in every damn industry, that someone hasn't taken on EBAY?!?!?!?
    I mean c'mon!

  • You can go as low as -4 before Ebay automatically suspends your account.

He will be suspended before long. Just as much blame needs to be put on the buyers for not researching before buying. Of course the human greed factor comes into play with these buyers they know deep down they will not recieve the item but bid and pay anyway on the chance it may happen. Then again it could be vigilante bidding on his items as well.

mario23g is still a registered user and has a -26 rating

jammin-garage had a -17 before he got thrown off eBay

Actually, that WAS NOT THE CASE on my part. I put a bid through paypal and paid the jack AXX and then he sent me an email asking to pay a different email address, which I explained to him I would not
because it wasn't part of our ebay transaction.

The other two buyers made the mistake of paying the "alternate" email address...

anyone bidding on items from a seller with less than a 99++ feedback rating is asking for trouble and if you bid on items from a seller with a negative fb rating, you're begging for trouble.

and yes, ebay can do more. It can't be rocket science to ban sellers who do not meet a minimum feedback "bar". In fact, it should be a feature on ebay where a buyer or seller can set a minimum feedback bar for auctions they bid on. The current sellers feature for blocking low feedback bidders is completely inadequate.
