I may take a new approach in getting my submission results.............

Usually, I do what everybody else does. I check online 50 times a day, and then post the results. But I may do what I have heard that one dealer does when getting his subs back, and it is kind of fun:

Don't check online, just pick up the sub from the post office.

Take the unopened box to dinner and order a drink.

After a few drinks, pop the box and pull out the first card.

Finish the drink and pull out another card. Order dinner.

Repeat process throughout the evening, pulling out a card every so often until the box is empty. Drink liberally.

It would be hard to not check online all the time, but this sounds like a really fun way to get your sub results.

I can affirm that it is infinitely more fun to open up a submission, not knowing the grades, than checking online constantly.

I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.

Ummm, so you're going to be sitting in the middle of a restaurant looking at your baseball cards? Besides that part, it sounds good.

I'm too weak.... as soon as I get that email from PSA informing me that my grades are available, I race out to see.
Weak weak weak weak weak... I don't know what it would do to me to wait the few days it takes to arrive at the house
not knowing what's coming... I'd probably loose sleep, slack off at work, cuss people out from stress...

The way I look at it, I'm doing a public service by checking my grades as soon as they're available. image

So the guy takes his cards out to get drunk with him?

I guess everything does look better if your a little intoxicated.

Hmmm...I'm wondering how I should search for this on youtube?

"Baseball cards" and "drunk crazy guy" perhaps? image

I've got to agree here. I like the idea of waiting to find out what grades I received, but the last thing I want to do is go to a restaurant to eat dinner and get drunk with a bunch of packing peanuts falling on the floor as I cheer my own good fortune or drink away my newfound sorrows.

I tend to agree hauling your cards to a restaurant is pretty unusual. But you can basically do the same thing at home by ordering pizza and beer, and going through your sub there.

Another alternative would be to open the box live on this board.

Just don't attempt it in the opposite order by getting drunk while selecting cards to submit. That could lead to disaterous results!
