Sniping Question

Yesterday i asked for the name of sniper companies. The first response was Justsnipe so i signed up ($5) and used it with pretty good results. When i went back to the thread i saw that several other companies were listed, some cheaper, some free. One thread said they had had problems before with justsnipe missing on auctions. Obviously i want the most reliable service but if some are cheaper or free.... My question is has anyone ever tried using 2 different services on the same card at the same time. I assume you wouldn't know which one won it for you though. What about 2 buyers using 2 different services on the same card for the same amount?

I can't answer your specific question, but I've used JustSnipe with a lot of success. They do have a free option, but you only get 5 snipes per week. If you want unlimited, you have to pay, but if you only do a few per week, the free account option works just fine, and gets your bid in within 5-8 seconds of close.

I've used www.auctionstealer.com for 5+years. You get 3 free snipes a week. I've never had a misfire and have never paid them a dime.

You would be bidding yourself up.

Maybe i'm asking a dumb question but what i meant was if 2 different buyers use 2 different services. Pick a card on ebay that should sell for a dollar, both sellers snipe with a maximum of $4 and see which service prevails.

justsnipe gives you 5 free snipes a week. While it's failed on me a few times and I won't use it as my primary service (bidnapper.com for that) I will use it as a backup snipe on must have items. When this happens it just enters the same amount as your existing high bid, you're not bidding against yourself.

Nope, its just as if you would bid twice manually. Of course it would only go up if someone else bid in between your bids

I have never had a justsnipe bid fail using the $5.00 per month service

BTW, bidnapper uses 2 different servers, so I'll often show 2 bids in.

Whichever user bid the $4 first would win. Typically w/sniper services, you can set the time before auction close when to place the bid.

Same here with no problems. It literally bids with 4 seconds left to go in the auction.

  • I've never used a sniping service but it sounds like it has probably beaten me a few times and if so, screw them...

    Sounds like cheating to me.

Justsnipe for me......they have not charged my CC for the last 7 months; don't know why, don't really care.

Never really had any problems I can remember; all snipes went thru.

How so? Did you not have the opportunity to place as high of a bid as you liked?

I use them too. Never failed me until a couple of days ago, lost 2 auctions due to "internet problems", grrrrrr. As Anthony said, if it's a "must have" item, use 2 services.

    Why would it be cheating?
