You are correct, these boards are fun, but always remember, if it wasn't for chaz saying how it really is on these boards.... it would really be friggin' boring comin' on here.

I'm new to the forum, but I find myself checking it out several times a day. I've just recently come out of 7 years of little collecting, almost hiatus status, and this forum is the closest thing to being 14 years old in the card shop I'll ever be again. I've been to several card shops in recent weeks and it's a cutthroat environment now. EVERYTHING is either auto'ed or graded, no one trades, and cash is being thrown around like you're on the floor of the Wall Street Stock Exchange. I really didn't trust the dealers either. Packs are much more reasonable than I expected them to be, but I rarely play the pack lottery, especially on modern stuff. I just want to talk cards, sports, and the like, and all I heard was money talk. I like the forum because it's a good mix of everything; plus, having been out of the hobby so long, I learn a lot from the experiences ya'll share. I appreciate it.

I love it when someone posts a message expecting to get sympathy from the members and instead get (rightfully so) blasted. Case in point the recent post by our friend "hack"....

I find this to be a great board. Lots of friendly folks on here too. This board is awesome for those who have been out of the loop for some time. A great way to catch up on things. I'd definitely recommend going back in time on here. I went back over a year and found a ton of great topics.

yes I like that too. I have had some moments going through these threads when I seriously laugh out loud. People just stare at me lik e"what could POSSIBLY be so funny....
