Thinking of starting a side business as a card show dealer

I did this all through college and early adulthood and made about 25,000 a year and then got into real estate.
I sold all my stuff back a few years ago when I needed the money- I have been able to buy probably about 3-5K worth of cards in the past year.
For example-
20 Griffey UD's rookies
Tiger WOods UD autograph
a have quite a bit of vintage baseball
60;s, 61's and 62's
I even have a few unopened products I never opened from BBCE this past month
I have this itch and have really bought and sold cards from about 12-25 and then stopped!
It was just not enough to live off of but could be good side income and fun for my twin sons that are now three and half!
I have about 5,000.00 I could invest but am in a dead area(middle TN most shows you can buy stuff for half book or a little less) I am sure I would have to travel to get decent prices for cards. SHould I go with wax, vintage singles? I buy some of Ahman fans stuff when he has a lot on the B/S/T forum and just stockpiling the stuff right now.
My question is there anybody who has some inventory and want to sell it or any ideas where to get the best bang for my buck if I decide to dive into this as a part time gig?
I respect all of you guys and would really appreciate some sincere plans to perhaps make another go of this! I really miss it!
I prefer not to sell on ebay but am well versed in it but it is just not as fun as doing the shows!
I really am considering going with my gut and just buying up vintage singles in EX to EXMT condition (football is way undervalued in my opinion). Being the vintage raw at the local show and traveling some to buy and sell!
The real estate market has been booming for three years but I want to brace and have a fall back plan if it slows in my area!

I've got a nice group of vintage Philly football on the B/S/T right now if you want to sell vintage football too.
I also have a '54 yogi berra in poor condition for $15, if that is something you could use as well.
good luck if you decide to do it!

<< <i>the real estate market is primed for a huge fall. good luck with the cards! >>
What MORE???? I say just the opposite...more decline...holding pattern 3-5 years increase. I would rather sell cards though! We are just renting all our properties for now, expecting condo conversions to be hip (again) in 2010!
