Patrick Roy 86-87 OPC Rookie, Blank Back

Hey All,

I have this OPC Patrick Roy Rookie with a blank back. It was graded as 9PQ Mint by a now defunct card grading service. I keep it in a safe deposit box with other valuables, but am wondering if all of that security is necessary for the card. Does anyone have an estimate on what something like this is worth? Thanks for the input.

I wouldn't get my hopes up- It's probably a counterfeit. If you want to know, scan it and some of the experts here will tell you what they think.
  • What was the grading company. There was one grading company that seems to have alot of blank back and blank front cards graded all are fakes and are easy to tell.
  • I'll have to check into that when I get home. Thanks for the advice.

Does SGC grade blank backs? If so, I would send it there because I dont believe PSA will grade it.
  • Sounds like one of Alan Hager's many blank back proofs in his own ASA holders.
Still a nice item to own...

    Sounds like ASA.

Either it is a legitimate proof card, or it is from a sheet that was not finished. I don't think either way you are talking about a multi-thousand dollar collectible. I wouldn't feel bad about taking it out of the safety deposit box.
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
