Value of Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron Lou Gehrig signed Baseball

I have a baseball signed and dated by Babe Ruth in 1930 and signed and dated by Hank Aaron in 1974...My great uncle had the ball signed in 1930 by Babe at Yankee stadium and in Jan 1974 Hank Aaron came to a local sports night in my town and we showed him the ball and he said "I'm going to break Babe's record this year so I am gonna sign right above his name" and he did and dated it...

The ball also has the signature of Lou Gehrig and Catfish Hunter...the ball has been varnished so the signatures are presevred very well on the ball...the ball has a couple "ruff" spots but now near any of those signitures...

What do you think the ball is worth??

I am thinking of selling the ball now as i'm going thru a divorce and need the money...

    Whatever it is worth is certainly devalued by the Hunter autograph....Would have been worth the most with just both Gehrig & Ruth. I would contact one of the big Auction Houses (Lelands, REA, Mastro, et al) for their opinion.

    Do you have the matching 1930 Babe Ruth Contract too? I bet you do....

    Varnish is terrible for the ball as is the Hunter signature. Contact these guys Signed Baseball Magic they can probably help you. Then get the ball authenticated and sell for some cash.

    I'd talk to the auction houses before having any signature erased. All of them use blacklight technology and if an erasure is noted it may even devalue the ball more than just leaving Hunter on it. Sounds like a neat family heirloom and I wish you the best with it.

    That is some baseball . . . .

    I know this might be old , but do you have any scans of the baseball ?

    I would have never let anyonbe else sign that ball after the babe and Gehrig though , Not even Aaron , but I wouldn't have any names removed now that's for sure , it's not like they won't know it has been erased anyway .

    What is done is done .

    Dependings completely on the condition though .

    Could be a 2000.00 ball could be a lot more , I'd like to see that ball though , never heard of anything like that with Aaron and the babe on the same baseball . . . .That is a "monster" if you ask me
