would someone please tell me why this george brett rookie card got such a low grade??????

I see how cards are graded, and I can't see a problem at all with this george brett card. I say minimum 9 to 9.5 on the strict beckett scale, minimum 9 to maybe 10 on the more liberal psa scale. Centered perfectly, sharp corners and rich deep coloring. truly exceptional card.

IF anyone could please tell me why this is graded so low, I'd love to hear why.

George Brett rookie card

have just these left, ALL OF 1975 mini set: brett: bvg 8.5, rose psa 8, ryan psa 7, bobby bonds and carl yastrzemski both at psa 8 but will get reviewed, and ungraded fred lynn rookie that i won't get graded as it'll only be a 7 to 8, and the following i plan to get graded: reggie jackson, 1962-mvp card, 1967 mvp card, hank aaron

Hard to tell from the auction scan which is kind of dark. There is a slight tilt that would keep it out of the mint mint category, IMO. Why not PSA?

The back could also be very oc, A lot of the 75's can have very nice centering on the front but the back can be almost miscut, The mini's are especially bad.

First of all, it's clear you're spamming the auction and could care less what we think. Otherwise you would've taken a larger scan, hosted it and come to the boards to ask us what we think. You also would've asked us what we think before you put the card up for auction to see if it should be regraded. Second of all, I think it's fairly obvious that no one can tell why the card is an 8.5 because we can't see any details on the card because we can barely see the card. Third of all, you're coming on the PSA boards to ask why Beckett gave the card an 8.5. Fourth of all, no one here likes the way you word your auctions. "Should be a ...." is not a good way to make friend around here. If it should be a 9, resubmit it. Fifth of all, good luck getting $500 for a BVG 9 Winfield RC.

edit to say- sorry, something just rubs me the wrong way about this guy. Maybe it's me, and if it is I apologize.

yeah and if you really cared about the board members and what we thought, you would post pictures of your wife eating waffles in the bathtub. Some people are so inconsiderant.

<< <i>Either auction goes well and you get the opportunity to send to PSA else I kill this auction and submit to PSA myself >>

i WAS interested in the brett mini but a psa 9 brett is SMR $625. you have an 8.5 you said it should bring between 600 and 1200. at what point is the when you pull it . i like a lot of people bid with 10 seconds left.

winfield PSA 9 smr is $275.00. good luck with both, if you cross to psa let us know

you say the cards are undergraded.......i feel your pain , all of mine are 10's psa just has a different opinion.
  • Lee . . . Bid on my auctions. Please!

Who cares? The card is worthless in BGS holder.

Pete Rose is my absolute favorite player and so if I do not see $75 by 12 hours from end of auction I may decide to keep it.

That statement just inspires confidence in your auctions....not.

It is because Beckett and PSA do not like you. That is why, as you have noted in your auctions, that almost every single card you have is undergraded.

Raw: Tony Gonzalez (low #'d cards, and especially 1/1's) and Steve Young.
