Any card shops in Des Moines?

Heading to Des Moines tomorrow and have some time to kill Wednesday afternoon. Anyone know of any card shops there?

I remember seeing a few when I was there a month ago, but I forget what street I saw them on...hmmm.

There is nothing spectacular, you have:

Chucks Sport Cards- Its small messy, but there is some decent stuff in there.

The Rookie-Its small too, but much nicer in appearance, the owner seems real nice and he has a decent mix of cards, nothing to old though

If you drive about ten miles north to ankeny- there is Whos on First, it has the best cards of the three but the guy usually wants high becket price regardless of condition.

ALso, about 15 miles north of des moines, there is a shop in a town called North Polk, ive never been there so i have no idea what it is like.

There is also a monthly little card show that all the local dealers go to on Sundays, if know when you are coming, check the becket site for upcoming shows in Des Moines and it will be the one listed at the Urbandale Legion Hall.

If you need more info, let you know, not sure if there is anyone else on here from Des Moines

Thanks for the info. I actually am here now and will only be here till Thursday. Thankfully, work doesn't require me to travel on the weekends so unfortunately I will not have the chance to hit one of the shows.

I will certainly check out these stores, thanks for the info!
