Definitely sad news. Robinson's contribution to that 79 team is largely forgotten now. He was third on the team in both homers and RBI. He is now the third player from the team to pass away , following Stargell and John Milner.

I was sorry to hear that. I attended a baseball camp he hosted back in 1979 in central PA (don't recall the town). I remember him telling me not to be afraid of the ball when he watched me hitting. The batting practice pitcher couldn't throw the ball over the plate.
