Tape residue...what grade?

When the back of a card has obvious tape residue on it but no paper loss, does it automatically fall to some lower grade. Say its an 8 but the back has and area of tape residue......what does it grade?

    depends on how much tape you are talking, ive sent in cards with all 4 corners taped 50 years ago,and it takes it down big time,

    I'll let the pros here give you an informed answer, but I'll give you a bump (and say that tape residue will certainly bring down the grade). A photo would also be very helpful if you want some good input. Good luck~

    i think it just depends on what kind of mood they are inhalf the time formthe grades i get lol
