Ebay Help Needed

Hi all, got an ebay question for the experts. I have 11 items up for sale on ebay right now. I just got a fair offer for one of them to stop the auction early that has 2 days left but has 3 bids already. Can I stop the auction without any bad feedback now and sell outright to the person? If so how do I do that? What are my options?

Thanks in advance for the help.

It's kind of a lame thing to do, but you can cancel all the bids and end the auction early.

There is no negative associated with ending an auction. You can end an auction early for any reason.

If your item has bids, I'd say from personal experience if you take the offer you stand about a 60/40 chance of selling your item LOWER than it would have sold if you let the auction run its course.

  • Thanks for the replys. Yea im kinda on the fence on this one. I have never ended an auction early, ie thats why im asking. I have lost a couple in the past that other people have done it so I understand the bummer of it. My biggest issue is the offer came from another psa registry clemente collector and I would rather see it in their hands vs someone who might just be trying to flip for profit, hard to determine thou.

I am aware I might get a better price by just letting it run out and still might let it go to the end. Hard call.

    Thanks again

Also what do you need to do to add a poster pic file, as far as I can tell I can only pick from a list not upload my own pic? Am I not seeing something? The few on the list I liek are already being used by other people so i dont want to use them again.

If you do not like the idea of cancelling all the bids and cancelling the auction, you have another option. Have your buyer bid the amount agreed on. Once he is the high bidder, cancel the auction. This will make him the winner through the ebay system. The other bidders can not whine too much, as they did not submit a higher bid. Of course the snipers will grumble a bit, but that is the way it goes. It is done all the time.

its happened to me by people on more than one occasion in the past 8 years, so its not that uncommon, have the other guy bid on it, then end it,not a whole lot anybody else can do about it,or if you think you can get the 2 fighting over it, leave it alone, i ve offered people 50$ for cards i needed in my set, theyve said no, so then the y go for 1.99 lol, then emailed em and told em you could have had 50.00 for that stupid instead of 2.00 lmao
