1948 Bowman Baseball uncut sheet

I think this is an awesome item. I'm not much of an uncut sheet fan but I find this one to be very appealing. And no. It is not my auction. I would not be selling it if it were mine. Anybody have an idea of how rare these are and how high it may go?

That is a very cool item. Most of those uncut sheets from that era have a bunch of commons on them. This one includes Spahn and Berra rookies. It will be interesting to watch how high (or low) this goes.

The seller doesn't mention it but in the lower right hand corner is a Musial rookie as well (I'm pretty sure that's a Musial, anyway). Not sure why he wouldn't mention that one.

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

That card is the one of the main reasons that I would be interested in it. The rest is just icing on the cake. I wonder how much the seller is going to lose by not mentioning it?

  • is anyone certain that it is authentic? I don't know much about uncut sheets....
  • It looks authentic but the borders seem to be badly trimmed/cut which is not great for the big cards. The double/triple printing of the reverse isn't that rare either. PSA doesn't grade cards cut from an uncut sheet. So..... the value?

    Nice piece to frame. image

I've been following the 48s for a number of years and I have seen a number of these on baybay and at shows. A buddy of mine had one, he cut the cards and GAI graded them. image

Well at least no one can accuse this guy of keyword spamming. Could he be less excited about this auction?
