Today's Mailday - The Cutting Edge of Card Technology and Security

Didn't tack this onto the mailday thread because it's so random, and pretty damn funny. To the seller's credit, this was postmarked July 5th from San Antonio, with DC and insurance. It arrived today, July 23rd. I will let the scans speak for themselves.

I haven't yet confirmed what the substance on the toploader is, but the boys at the lab tell me that preliminary indications are chocolate fingerprints. Card is dead mint, which I'm definitely happy about. Thought you guys would enjoy this.

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

They make a holder called mini slab that snaps like a graded case kinda. It is easy to open, but breaks the case hinges. They are only $1 or so and they are pretty handy. I also bought some tamper evident stickers that have my seller name and all on them. They are really good and pretty impossible to remove without destroying.

Is the "seal" the cut and taped piece of looseleaf paper he's written on, or the piece of toilet paper attached with scotch tape? I think he might be taking things a little too seriously.

at least the toilet paper wasnt used although judging from the brown smear on the toploader i would say it was packaged in the bathroom
  • But the Bonds is nice looking under all the - cough, cough - tamper-proof seals.
