  These guys are wrong. I have fit a good 5049 cards. Ruining any chance of keeping the cards in pristine shape

  It depends on the cards you put in it. For example, if you put Topps Heritage cards in there, you will only get 70% fill because of the thickness of the card stock. Only 560 Topps Heritage cards fit inside an 800 count box. If it is a thinner stock card you are putting in there, then obviously you will get more than a 70% fill.
