Cleveland National Card give-away

I have already purchased my VIP Package for the Cleveland National show (I live 15 minutes away). Looks like there will be some neat cards given out for VIP package purchasers, including die cut football rookie set, etc....Would PSA grade these cards? Do you think these cards will have any ebay re-sale value? How about cards given out at past National shows? Just wondering, in case I over-spend at the show and need to make some money back!

Sorry, have not figured out how to add a link, here is the website address for the national show, VIP package gets you in each day a little early, gets you 12 autographs, a meet and greet, etc....and includes what appears to be limited edition Nationals cards. John

On the same topic, has anyone found the Pepsi/Donruss redemption coupons? I've checked at least 6 stores in the Cleveland area, and none of them had it.

Yes they will grade them. I have about 4 different Emmitt Smith cards graded from national shows.

I checked our area stores for that Pepsi coupon, in fact I was at the Giant Eagle here in Avon Lake, Ohio today...still nothing. I believe this coupon is an urban legend!!

I checked the Giant Eagles in Parma, Royalton, Seven Hills, and Marc's in Parma, Sagamore, & Garfield. I even went to a Heinens. Maybe it's all of Ohio except the Cleveland area!!

Hey Johnny D and Mknez.....where do you guys live? I live in Parma. Sounds like were practically neighbors!

I'm in Indy (old school, not the mansions) on PV between 77 and 21. where are you guys?
I'm new to PSA and these boards, so if there are local guys, are there any "meetings" at the Lizard, Quotes, or anywhere else?

I live off York and PV. There is another board member that I know of that lives in Parma...same neighborhood as me...alnavman. Don't know of any meetings..

I probably drove right past you today on my way to golf at Skyland.

Like I said, I'm new to this grading stuff. I'd like to pick your guys' brains sometimes, and pick up some pointers, if your available.

I live in Avon Lake, about 1/4 mile south of Lake Erie. I grew up in the Parma area (Greenleaf Ave) and went to Valley Forge High school 1978-1980...John

alnavman here...yep, I'm also in Parma not far from Big Daddy.....I'm planning on attending the National on Friday....I plan to go to the PSA luncheon they are having....not one to pass up a free meal!!! My son and I are going to go........Don't know how many others will be walking around with the PSA bag they give out when you renew your membership but I'll have mine to carry anything I buy with me......

If I can find a picture to upload I'll do that during the week..

One other thing, I have a buddy that is a manager at Giant Eagle, I'll try and get a hold of him this week to see if what you guys are talking about is made up or for real....hopefully I won't get a blank stare from him when I ask.....

Which Giant Eagle is he a manager at? My brother-in-law is one of the managers at the Westlake store.

My buddy is a manager at the Southpark store. Don't know if he is the main guy but he is one of the managers....he's been in the food business since he was in high school and he is in his 50's now....like I am.....I do know he puts in way to many hours for what they pay. Probably the reason he's never been married!!

My brother-in-law is the frozen foods manager in Westlake. He started there when he was 16 years old (I think it was Rini-Regos back then) and he is 44 years old now! He is a computer genius and was one semester away from a programming degree and never finished!! At least I can go to him foe all my computer needs, since building computers is one of his side jobs....

food business used to be a great job...in fact my brother worked at Heinens and recently retired. He was a produce manager for awhile then stepped down before he retired....a lot of the young kids starting work now just don't seem to want to work so he stopped trying to get them to work as a manager and stepped down.....he got his 30 years in and retired. My buddy also started when he was 16 out at the old A & P out at Southgate in Maple Heights....he also has been to a number of chains..including Rini's, Stop and Shop..and now Giant Eagle.

Yeah, my B-I-L says the same thing about the young workforce...not exactly go-getters!!! The National show should be nice. My mother likes to go to get autographs of all the old Indians, so I am giving her my autographs that come with the VIP package. I am more interested in the booths, and of course I will take custody of the cards they are giving away...
