1975 Topps Baseball PSA 9s and 10s

I am putting together a high-quality 1975 Topps Baseball set (about 1/3 the way there) and need a lot of help. I am looking for someone that has some of these cards they may want to sell in larger lots. I am tired of bidding on 1 card at a time through E-bay and having to pay premium postage charges on each one. Is there anyone out there that can offer any help???

I'm guessing that 1975 PSA 9 and 10s can't usually be picked up cheap. Off the top of my head, I would guess the average price for a 9 to be about $40-50, and a 10 to be $200-300? And you're not wanting to pay the $3 shipping costs?

The average cost for the commons varies between $10 and $20 and many are getting $4 to $6 to ship them. I find that to be a bit excessive since shipping 1 card likely costs between $1.50 and $2.25 (I have shipped a lot of single cards and charge between $2 and $3). It just starts to add up when you are looking at 660 cards in the set.

Yup, paying shipping costs is just one of those things we have to deal with, but wait until you get down to those last 3 or 4 cards for the set, and you will gladly pay that $4-6 per card. There may be some people on here who happen to have a few - always worth checking naxcom.com also, sine you may be able to find a group of cards from the same seller and save on shipping that way.

75's are hot right now. I had 60 up on ebay last week and averaged $34 a card (PSA 9). Mainly mid-pops. Some 9's sold low, around 12-13 bucks, but these I couldn't even get a 9 dollar opening bid a half year ago.

another way of getting some of these cards is to buy a few (or at least 1) nm/mnt sets and submit the cards yourself.

Try buying your cards from one seller, most give a nice Shipping discount on multiple cards you buy...

I am on a buying hiatus for 75t minis. the set is way too hot right now. I would imagine the same goes for the 75 apparently. my concern is it only takes several guys building a set to bid the prices up and I think the prices are unrealistic based on how much raw and/or unopened material is out there as well as the pops.

also, I agree it is a big pain to build 1 card at a time for these monster sets. it might be better to wait for one of the auction houses to put up a complete set and find a partner to go in on it with to "off" the dupes. I think you might get a better deal on a complete set but have no idea if they come up very often.

Thanks for the advice. I am always concerned by someone elses interpretation of NrMt - Mt though. I purchased a vending box that indicated it was full of NrMT++ cards and most of those had been picked out of it. Thus, I am a bit reluctant on the set purchase. Perhaps I'll give it another try.
