Here's what the Standard Catalog Of Baseball Cards says.

Doesn't mention anything about the backs being stamped with anything but my book is from 2005 so maybe the newer one has changed the info on these.

I think the price is just a little steep.

This seller's a total clown. Takes a month to ship if he ships at all (look at all his negs). I left the last neg for him. Bought a 79 Topps basketball set, paid immediately, sent two follow up emails asking where my set was and never heard from him. I left a neg and filed a paypal claim, then he refunds my money within a few days. Why bother wasting everybody's time like that?

While they may be overpriced (though I don't know), they are fairly interesting. I wonder if our local Brett Butler collector has one??

I didn't know we HAD a local Brett Butler collector. Anyway, I wasn't really questioning the seller, I was just curious as to whether there really was such a thing. The Beckett Almanac is supposed to list every baseball card known to exist, but I think they do omit all 1/1's (of course they can't be priced but they could at least list them) and any proof/prototype cards.

Indeed we do have a local Butler collector, and Drew, yes I do have one! After seeing the ridiculous price of that lot, I'm glad I do. I am still looking for a blank back '89 UD promo, though. BTW Drew - I did receive those postcards. I'll get the Clark out to you soon.
