Be careful if choosing the $13/5 day service!

Howdy!
Look this grading special over carefully before using it! I'm on day 7 of wait time since being logged in on Monday, June 25 and the customer service gal says that because of the high demand it could be 2-3 more days of wait time before I see my grades! That's 10 days for a service I thought would take 5-6 days max!! I've had $5 bulk orders pop in under 10 days and you can almost get 3 gradings for the price of one under the $13 level!! I guess I learned my lesson...... use the bulk services and get more bang for your buck! Just my thoughts for those thinking of using this service level!

Paul, It says appr next to the number of days just so they are covered.

They usually pop pretty close to that but for $13.00 per, it really should be quaranteed in 5 days, imo

Agreed Matt. If you're paying $13 per card, the turnaround should be 5 days. This "approximately" b.s. when you're paying a premium is very, very weak IMHO.

    No Minimum Quantity Required

    that is the key IMO.

bulk you have to send in 20, 50 or more depending on the special.

Does this mean we can write a check to PSA for approximately $13 per (depending on bank balance)? I think yes.

  • If you'd rather pay $30 for the EXPRESS 5day service, go for it.

If you're cool paying $13 for 5 days, rather than $15 for ten days, or $10 for 35 days, then be patient and you'll be more than pleased when the pop. What's an extra day or two or three going to do?

I do like the option of using this special so that I get my cards back earlier.

What I don't understand is that PSA doesn't necessarily process the cards in order the cards were received. Paul, I would think that you should get the cards tomorrow.

much better than $55 for express. if you really need them in 5 days then pay the $55. then when you dont get them in time you get a voucher. here as long as the card is under $500 in value you are getting 4+ cards graded for the price of 1 in nearly the same time frame. that sounds like a deal for me!! i have used them often and get decent service in terms of turnaround. a few days here and there its not that big a deal to me.

In the past, most of my bulk subs of over 200 cards have popped
in about 17-22 days. Not counting the to and from shipping time. So usually I get them back in less than a month.

Paying for the $13/5 day service level just isn't worth it in my book either unless the value of the card is much higher and you're forced to go that route.

all of my bulk subs have usually take the full time (roughly) two calendar months to pop. My $13/5 day are always done in under 2 weeks from logging in.

the discount on the $13 special is a lot better than on the bulk or $5 specials. so if it takes me 7 days instead of the roughly 5 so be it.

though i can see how some people will be upset when they are spoiled with luck on their bulk sub pop times. when you regularly have to wait two months, a week to 7 days is nothing.

  • Today was day 8 and still no grades on my 5 day/$13 special logged in June 25. What does " Approximate" mean? I've been told 2 days in a row that today is the day and nothing popped? I guess they are just patronizing me!!!!!!!
