1986 , 1987 , 1988 fleer basketball question

hey everyone i have a question im hoping to find some insight on. was the 1986 through 1988 fleer basketball mass produced? like say topps baseball of that time? i'm just curious if there is anyone who can tell me a ballpark estimate of how many were produced? i remember back in 88 or so all i could find were topps baseball and 88 score at the stores in my area i never did see any basketball wax and if someone did happen to have some it was a real treasure.

Well, I'd say football, then basketball, then hockey cards were produced in fewer quanities (in that order) in general. Frankly, I'm surprised even the second year Fleer set still sells for $300 at BBCE.
