Seller charges double for shipping...anything can do?

I received a package that I paid $29.50 for shipping. Comes in the mail with a $14.56 label on it. Funny thing is this guy says USPS quoted him $27.50. Is there anything I can do about this? There are handling fees and then there are handling fees (that go in the pocket). $14.94 extra for shipping is total BS. Not to mention I was taxed $25 on top of the item for customs.
The seller is also probably one of the bigges a$$holes I've dealt with on ebay since I've joined as well. I like the item but charging that much extra is just plain crap. I'd love to leave feedback on Ebay as well but I know he will retaliate with something in return.
If anyone ever deals with platinum310 please be advised they are very difficult to deal with. Threats in emails, just horrible customer service.

If you choose to take the cowardly way out like so many others do on eBay, then it is your own fault you didn't see it coming with this seller--because buyers like you refuse to leave honest feedback. My only conclusion is that this seller is top notch and has the feedback to prove it.

Yep, this account is on my buyer account that has no negs or neutrals. As well, I'd love to leave the proper feedback but why wreck my 100% feedback for a jerk like this?
Was the S/H listed? If not why did you not ask?
If that is your buying account why are you so worried about feedback. Actually 100% is not always a good thing. Scammers do target sellers with high feedback and 100% FB they percieve these sellers as pushovers who will not take a stand.

There's nothing cowardly about it. The fact is that the reward you receive for leaving negative feedback (hint:there isn't one) in no way compensates for the cost of leaving negative feedback (the threat of a retaliatory feedback). When the reward doesn't outweigh the risk, people abstain from the behavior.
The tariff is not the sellers fault that is your problem. It is Federal Offense to falsify a customs form by marking items as gifts or for less than they are actually worth.

I'm complaining that this guy gave me an exact quote from the USPS website of $27.50. He charged me $29.50 and it was more than double what it actually was..... I'm ticked on being lied to about the quote. The item was game worn shoes and yes it is a larger item.
I guess I eat it then.....ah well...
If you won't neg him for yourself, please do it for all the future bidders that this seller will try and rip off. Please.

Instead of worrying about the nuances/philosophical implications of "sellers charging too much for shipping," you should simply factor the cost into your auction bid. It doesn't really matter, in the end.
1) If the seller doesn't state s/h costs, find out -- or don't bid.
Politely email and ask him to refund you a portion of the shipping that you overpaid.
See what he says.
