Are there any years in which Topps' football design was better than the baseball design?

I've thought about this over the weekend. Any opinions?

I also I like the 1958 FB design better which I think is the same design that was used for 1959 BB.

I agree with 1968 and 1988. Both are classic, simple designs, IMO.

BTW, Zef, your 1968's on the bay look much better than other sellers 8's. I've got my eye on several. Good luck.

I think the better question is are there any years in which Topps' baseball design was better then the football. (Or at least on the modern era). I would give 1981, 1987 and 2007 baseball over their football counterparts. (I am giving Topps' extra credit for not doing the same design for four years in a row in baseball).

    Speaking of Packers 68 Topps.....

Stadium Club put out a special, enlarged (10"x13" ) reprint of the classic 1968 Bart Starr #1 card that Bart signed for an SCLUB promo.

It was an exact reprint of the front and back, One of my favorite items.

I am going to frame the complete 68 Packers team set around the signed reprint.

    Loves me some shiny!

I actually think the 07 Football is way better than the Baseball .
I have been opening the Draft Picks and Prospects and I have to say , they're really nice cards and beautiful pulls too so far, well compared to the Topps Baseball , I really can't bragg too much about anything I have pulled yet , except for the Dice K card in Japanese Print .
In the 07 Topps football, they give you 3 different style cards , just like the Bowman .

    In 3 boxes ,
    I pulled a Drew Stanton 2007 draft pick Auto #'d to 100
I pulled a Steve Smith Class makers Auto
I pulled a Courtney lewis Platinum refractor #'d to 125
    A Mike Furrey refractor
    A Larry Fitzgerald refractor
And a few more nice thick shiney cards that I havent figured out what they are yet . . . . But they're beautiful .

    For anyone that hasn't cracked a box . . . .give it a shot , I don't think you will be disappointed at all, I know I wasn't .

Matter of fact, I'm going back up to the store right now to get another 2 boxes . . . .
    Yupp, I'm hooked !
But . . . .this is what we do image
Blame Jesus . . . he's the one who made us this way .
Muah ha ha ha ha . . .

Oh yea, any card ever produced from Topps is way better looking that the 1975's . . . . .

    Vibrant colors ???
    Ummmm OK .
To me those were the most disgusting looking cards ever made , I'm sorry if I hurt anyones feelings , but that's just how I feel about those cards .

Couple of the cards from the 07 topps . . .

We just ran back to the storw and picked up 3 more boxes
Have to say, I was reading and it said either an auto or 2 relics per box and those 3 boxes didn't have any relics or any auto's so I was kinda like WTF ???

But the cards are still nice and I did pull a nice refractor , But I was expecting something else . . .
