My wife is the best! anniversary gift. (cool pics included)

For our 11th wedding anniversary yesterday, she took me to the "Baseball as America" exhibit at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland. Any of you who are going to the National...I reccomend checking the museum out when you are in town. The display is on until September. The cost is pricey...$14.50 each...but it was pretty cool...especially for those of us who have never been to Cooperstown. Here is an assortment of items that I was able to get pictures of...until the security lady told me that cameras were not allowed!

T206 Wagner card...not the best sample...but cool to see

Very cool, that would be very interesting to see. Is that a traveling display? If not, I might have to head out to Cleveland and see it!!!!

So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

Happy anniversary to Mr. & Mrs. BigDaddyBowman... I assume she would not take kindly to being called "BigMommaBowman". Speaking of which, your wife is pretty cool without a doubt for thinking of this as an anniversary present, but I don't know about best.

For "best" she would have had to at least try slipping the Wagner card in her purse for you while you created a diversion.

Very cool stuff, please do keep the pictures coming, and thanks for sharing as most of us would probably not get to see this stuff otherwise.

When I first opened it and saw the scans loading, I thought she BOUGHT all that stuff for you. I was thinking, where in the world did she find a Cleveland Naps scrapbook?

Very cool stuff, and $14.50 sounds like a bargain to me.

    P.S. Happy Anniversary.

This display had the exact replica of Babe Ruth, Mark McGwire, Hank Aaron etc and you could feel how heavy their bats were...Babe Ruth's was like a tree trunk!

Cool pictures Big Daddy, I'll have to check out the science center soon....I live near by in Parma....

Also someone asked about the displays and if they were a traveling display. My understanding is they are going around the country to different cities. Supposedly it was in St. Louis last year and in Boston when they won the World Series.... for those who believe in karma, the thought was that since it's in Cleveland this year maybe, just maybe this will be an Indians year!!!! sure hope so.

I saw that exhibit when it was here in St. Louis. I definitely recommend it for those (like myself) who have never been to Cooperstown.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
