1954 Aaron rookie back from PSA

A few months ago in the Vintage Sportscard Trading forum I posted a scan, and asked for opinions on what grade my Hank Aaron rookie would possibly receive from PSA. Well I decided to send it in on the never ending $13/5day special. It logged in today June 7th, and should pop next week. Here's another look for some last minute comments/guesses. The notch on the right border does not touch the back half of the paper stock at all, and when viewing the back of the card there isnt even a wrinkle behind the notch.

  • Maybe a 4, more likely a 3

It's my card, and I don't even think it belongs in a PSA 4 holder. lol That being said, I don't feel that it's a PSA 2 either. My gut/hopes are for a PSA 3, but depending on the grader, a PSA 2 can be looming on the horizon.

Well it's back from PSA, and thank goodness it made it into a PSA 3 holder.

Yeah it has the notch, but that's some real fine centering for an Aaron rookie.

I thought the damage to the middle right border would make it a 2 at best, so getting a 3 is about the best you could have hoped for. Congrats!
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

I am definitely happy it was graded correctly. Also, damage is way too harsh of a word for the slght imperfection on the card.
