canadian gold maple leaf 2007 .9999 buy or pass?

2007 - (1 oz) Gold Maple Leaf (Special .99999 Variety) is the latest modern crap I have my eye on.
obverse is sweet looking , can get it for spot+40 , did I mention I like the obverse? At least I think it is the obverse , might be the reverse (not sure how those Canadians call the shots ) Is it bad form to put a Queen on the back of a coin? Any how it's the Maple leaf side that looks cool(not to dis the Queen or anything like that..I'm sure she was a looker in her day)..
......someone talk me out of it or at least confirm the obverse for me before I break down and buy.

    $40 over spot is a very good price for a 99999 gold Maple leaf. If you decide to pass, let me have next dibs on it.

    No need to wait in line behind me. I saw them on APMEX site.
    And yes I already caved in.
    Now I have 2 coins in the Canadian wing of my collection. It will go nicely with my $3 beaver

    APMEX...that's where I got my libertads imageimageimage and I noticed they are not gouging on their prices for their bullion coins. If I had more time , money and some nerve I'd buy some and then turn around and list them on ebay where people are paying too much. Of course they may end up a little like the Mountie gold coin...hard to find and much over spot.

    I think it's a gorgeous coin and for only $40 over spot, it's a great buy.

    One of Canada's Best designs IMO.
    I also liked the RCMP gold.

    Question: Once the Queen croaks.. Who will be on the coins ? Gawd, I hope it's not Charles & Camilla... eeeww

    It will be Charles unless he dies before Queen Elizabeth II. Camilla will NOT be on the coin, only Charles.

    It will be Charles unless he dies before Queen Elizabeth II. Camilla will NOT be on the coin, only Charles. >>

    Or William, if Charles decides to pass the crown directly to his son.

    BTW, has Charles' popularity/approval rate risen at all?

    steve27 that's the one. In hand the leaves are of a reverse proof look. Sweet coin
