1990 Pro Set Steve Young Variation

Hello all,
I found an unlisted variation in the 1990 Pro Set #645 Steve Young card.

Note, part of the last letter is missing on both cards. When I first noticed it, while comparing two cards looking for variations, I did not think too much....could have just been missing part of the ink. But then I went and looked through my 1000 or so surplus Youngs and found another that I gpt from a different person in a different state.

Correct version with complete letter.
There are only like 100 listed variations in the 1990 Pro Set, all of them more noticeable then this one so I image there are many others that are unknown.

Then again it looks like a small piece of paper might have gotten on the press at that point and got stuck. I still would call it more of a printing flaw
It is a printing flaw, but it appears to have been corrected, or perhaps one of the later plates was damaged?
Either way, others have e-mailed me now that they have found both versions in their collections and I have found another in my stock. There appears to be ample supply of the variation, so I do not know how it could not be called a variant if it is noticeably different and there are a lot of them.
I can't image how many different printing plates that Pro Set used to make these cards, but it is pretty much impossible that you could make the numbers Pro Set did with just one set of plates.
